A fashion showcase that celebrated 10 years of JADE by Monica & Karishma – one of India’s illustrious couture houses, was produced to reflect its ethos of contemporized craft.
In a gilded minimalist set, Jade unveiled its special anniversary collection titled ‘Oneness’ through a riveting performance by modern dance pioneer, Astad Deboo. Blurring boundaries between India and the world, the collection of couture apparel juxtaposed pragmatic styles with timeless panache to embody ‘utilitarian chic’.
Setting the stage for conversations about India’s prolific heritage of handcrafting was a display of rare, archival masterpieces from the curated collection of the designer duo that paid tribute to the artisans of India.
