Bhansali-Mehta
Mala, Mehendi & Sangeet
Wedding & Reception

Indo-French
Recreating French romance for a fairytale wedding.
Held over three days, the Bhansali-Mehta wedding was filled with plush French glamour, decadent sets and perfectly choreographed functions. With an over-arching theme of Indo-French opulence, the extravagant décor created for each event reflected the romance and grandeur of France, in the heart of Mumbai.
The Mala Mehendi and Sangeet venue was designed to resemble a chic Parisian café where the bride was joined by her closest family and friends to celebrate her big day. The evening that followed was filled with five stellar performances by some of the best acts in the country, rehearsed and perfected over four months.
The wedding and reception venue was constructed to bring to life a French palais in all its decadent beauty. Three magnificent custom-made Belgian chandeliers hung from the ceiling along with 25 clear chandeliers dressed in florals as Baroque-style props, antique-finish sofa settees, richly embroidered linen and fine crystal-ware recreated regal French opulence.
Flanked by a posse of Bharatnatyam dancers, the bride entered the Varmala stage to join the groom as suspended ‘angels’ handed them their garlands. The bride entered the mandap from a royal balcony and descended down a stairway of cascading flowers and velvet tapestry. The dinner reception that followed featured a 24-feet high façade, complete with resplendent table-seating, a plush family table and a grand gastronomical reveal.
